I have been a treasure hunter for over 25 years now and for the last 5 years I have used a Compass Gold Scanner Pro. I love it. I can tell if the target is iron from the signal and use the target ID to help determine whether or not to dig also. I get great depth for beach hunting I can work either dry or wet sand without any problems. It may be a gold instrument, but it can't be beat as a beach machine too.

I started treasure hunting years ago and since then I have been through 13 machines. After using all these machine I found that Compass comes out on top for the best all around hunting. I am continually amazed at my Coin Pro II. Small deep targets are no problem and you don't get a bunch of bells and whistles. You get a detector that does it's job and does it well! I tell everyone that Compass is a step above the rest.

I thank Compass Electronics for coming out with a deep, rugged metal detector. I have been a Civil War relic hunter for 8 years and I search extreme high mineral areas. Many machines won't even work in these places, but for the Compass detectors it's no problem. I've found artifacts much deeper than the more expensive models that I have tried. I don't get the hot rock false readings like the others I was using. Thanks again Compass for doing it right.

When I bought my new Compass Coin Scanner Pro detector a few weeks ago, I did not know anything about treasure hunting. I've since been out practicing and finding coins and a few relics. I have learned from detecting with friends that used other detectors that the Coin Scanner has got the depth that beats them a mile. Don't get me wrong, they've got some good detectors, but I seem to get the deep signals and find the oldest coins. Thanks Compass.

I purchased my first metal detector in June 1993.  It was the Compass Coin Scanner Pro.  I absolutely love this detector.  I have found hundreds of coins with this detector. In 1996 I went on a relic hunt with a group of friends and my Compass really impressed them.  This machine found some deep tiny signals that the other detectors were not finding.  Needless to say, 8 years have passed and my detector still performs like it just came out of the box.

I'm already finding old coins with my Coin Scanner Pro. I've only had the detector about a week and found over 60 old silver coins, not to mention the old large cents, Indian Head, and wheat pennies. It looks like it's paying for itself and I am certainly enjoying the outside fresh air and exercise.

I want to thank Compass for making me a coin maker. When I take my XP Pro Plus out into an area which is "all worked out", where I'm told there are no more coins, my XP makes coins and puts them under my coil for me to find. I love it when I'm told an area is worked out because I know that my Compass will prove them wrong!

I own an old Judge 11 automatic that I have not used for several years. It
has been a GREAT machine as I have many gallons of coins that I have found with it!
I love this metal detector and have had people wanting to buy it from me,
but I am to attached to it and it has paid for itself many times over.
Thanks for many years of fun and for keeping a youngster out of trouble. You see instead of hanging out with the wrong people after school, I was metal detecting.

Just a note to thank you for many great memories.  As a young teenager around 1980, I got a Compass Coin Hustler II detector.  I lived in North Idaho and enjoyed finding old coins and other items from before WWII when the army had training facilities there.  I've kept the detector all these years, though I've hardly used it since.  However, I recently pulled it out of storage, put new batteries in it, and sure enough, it still works.  Now my children (11, 8, and 5) love using it in the yard.

After purchasing my new Compass Coin Scanner Pro II detector, I decided to take it on it's first trip to the beach in my area.
I have searched this beach with over 5 top of the line detectors before.
In 3 hours I found 3 rings, 52 old coins, mostly silver, and 3 earrings.
I searched the same area that I had been searching before with the other machines.
The ring values alone according to local jewelers was over $1800.00.
I think I will stick with Compass.
