Thank you for
purchasing Supersonic XM-4600B. Supersonic XM-4600B has a relatively practical
usage. The perception range is sufficient to meet your criteria. Make exercises
with your detector as much as possible. Try to understand completely how to make
ground balancing.
Switching
on the Detector
Switch. the
detector on as described below before starting the searching process.

After assembling
the Coil sticks and connecting the cables hold the the Coil at about 40
centimeters high above the ground and:
Switch
the Detector on by pressing the ON/OFF button and then press the RESET ALL
METALS button
Note
that the indicator will be centrally aligned.
Let
the device warm up about 40-50 seconds before begin ground balancing..
While
the device is warming up you can prevent the slippages that become at the
indicator by pressing RESET button.
Ground
Balance
In order to remove
the mineral effect of the ground, GROUND BALANCE is adjusted as described below.
While Ground Balancing the device must be
at ALL METALS position.
After
switching the device on, take the GROUND
FINE BALANCING button to the middle position. And:
1.
Move the coil down to a 5-10 centimeter-height
from the ground
2.
If there is a sound coming from the device, move the coil 40 centimeters up.
3.
Take the GROUND BALANCE button to the
2nd position and press the RESET ALL
METALS button while
holding the coil
at the same height.
4.
Move the coil down to a 5 centimeter-height
from the ground.
5.
If there is still a sound coming from the device, move the coil 40
centimeters up
6.
Take the GROUND BALANCE button to the
3rd position and press the RESET ALL
METALS button.
7.
Move the coil down to a 5 centimeter-height
from the ground again.
8.
If there is still a sound coming from the device, move the coil 40
centimeters up.
9.
Take the GROUND BALANCE button to the
2nd position and press the RESET ALL
METALS button.
10.
Move the coil down to a 5 centimeter-height
from the ground again.
11.
If the sound stops GROUND BALANCING is completed and searching process can get
started. But if the sound still exists the steps described above are repeated
increasing the position of the GROUND
BALANCE button one level at every repeat.
Ground
Fine Balance
Ground Balancing
will be eventuated surely at a position from 1 to 12. There can be slippages at
the indicator despite of the Ground Balancing has been done. These slippages can
be overcome with the GROUND FINE BALANCE
button located left below of the device.
POSITION 1
After
the Ground Balancing if there is no sound but the indicator moves to the left:
1.
Move the coil 40 centimeters up
2.
Turn the GROUND FINE BALANCE button at the arrow direction shown in the figure.
3.
Press the RESET ALL METALS button.
4.
Move the coil down to a 5 centimeter-height
from the ground.
If the indicator
still moves to the left, repeat these steps until the indicator stays still or
is in the least sliding position. If you provide one these conditions begin
searching.
POSITION 2
After
the Ground Balancing if there is no sound but the indicator moves to the right:
1.
Move the coil 40 centimeters up
2.
Turn the GROUND FINE BALANCE button at the arrow direction shown in the figure
3.
Press the RESET ALL METALS button
4.
Move the coil down to a 5 centimeter-height from the ground.
If the indicator
still moves to the left, repeat these steps until the indicator stays still or
is in the least sliding position. If you provide one these conditions begin
searching.
Searching
The ground balance
that you've done would give the result at the ALL METALS position. Therefore you're your searches at this section.
Hold the coil at 15
centimeter-height and go forward while moving it left and right harmoniously
like a brushing process. There should not be any place on the ground that the
coil doesn't pass over.
1.While
searching at the ALL METALS position:
Ü
If there is a sound coming from the device and the indicator moves to the right,
area contains metal or lots of minerals. The content of the signal should be
well evaluated. The ground may contain cubic substances or high dense minerals
and may seem like contain metal. orderto understand the content of the signal
that technique is applied: move the coil beside of the signal producing area and
take the GROUND BALANCE button the
3rd position, then press the RESET
button and release it. After that, pass the coil over the signal producing area
one more time. If you have the signal again this area contains metals. If you
don't have any signals the area contains minerals. In this way you remove the
mineral effect of the ground.
Again searching at ALL
METALS positon:
Ü The indicator moves to
the left witout any sound, there can a gap at the area. The indicator stays at
this position till the end of the gap. After the gap the indicator moves to the
middle position. To make it definite that the ares contians gaps, first move the
coil far beside of the area and take the GROUND BALANCE button back to the position 1. Than press the RESET
button and release it. After that move the coil over the signal producing area.
If the indicator still moves to the left, it is certain that he area has a gap.
If the it has no gap, the indicator doens't move to the left after this process.
It stays at the middle position or moves to the right with a sound signali, so
you understand that the thing detected is because of a mineral effect.
2.
Searching at the INDICATOR PICKING
position, when you coincide with a metal, if the metal is worthless, the
indicator stays at the middle position and the device gives a sound signal. If
it is valuable, the indicator moves to the right with a sound signal. If it is a
half-valuable metal such as steel, sheet, galvanize or nickel, before the action
it gives a sound. After the sound the indicator moves to the right. Horseshoe
and nail are similar to the steel therefore makes a similar effect.
3.Searching
at the METALS position, worthless
metals aren't detected. The indicator moves to the right with a sound signal at
valuable metals. You are able to make a search directly at this section or you
can test the metal you detected at the ALL
METALS section.
While doing RESET process at
the Indicator Picking and Valuable Metals section, Hold the coil at 15
centimeter-height, press the RESET
button. Then move the coil to the right and press the RESET button. After that move the coil over the metal like a
brushing process. Do not hold the coil over the metal too long.
4.
If you think that the detected metal is GOLD,
move the coil to the right at the same height, switch to the GOLD
PICKING position and press the RESET
button of this position. If the indicator shakes silently in the middle, when
you pass the coil over the metal
one more time, the metal is gold. But if it moves to the right it is another
valuable metal. When move the coil
over the substances such as steel, nickel plated metal or galvanized sheet
metal, if the device is in GOLD PICKING
position, first the indicator moves to the left slowly, then moves to the right
with a sound signal. Horseshoe and nail are similar to steel and can make a
similar effect.
NOTE:
At the GOLD PICKING position the
device is very sensitive to the ground, so while checking the metal never move
the coil upward down. Keep the 10 centimeter-height constant. When you move the
coil downwards the indicator may move to the left and when you move it upwards
it may move to the right with a sound signal.
Attention
DO NOT HOLD THE COIL OVER
ANY METAL TOO LONG.
Dept
Detection
Dept Detection is done at the ALL METALS position.
While doing the dept detection at 5 or 6 meters position, it is too
important to understand the dept of the signal, as a matter of preventing the
waste of time and labour force. The following technique is applied for the Dept
Detection:
For instance, if
there is a distance of 3 meters between the start and end point of the signal
produced from the ground;
Decrease the dept
pf the device to 1 meter and pass the coil over the point and checked;
If there is no
change at the dept of signal (the distance between the start and end point is
nearly 3 meters), there is a huge metal close to the ground.
But if the signal
area becomes smaller and the sound becomes weaker, it is understood that the
metal is at the deep.


Strong signal and
bigger signal area are clues of bigger metal. But the best way of figuring the
dept out is to decrease the device dept and test again. The size of the metal
can be figured out from size of the area that the signal is produced on.
Searching at 1 meter position, if there is an average of 1 meter signal
area, a 2 meter-dept excavation is required.
Important Notes
Have
the device a perfect Ground Balancing. Make a dept detection. Try to figure
out the kind of metal by the help your experience and device. Continue digging
until you reach your goal.
Ü Your
device has a 6 meter-perception range.
But
if the duration of metal being inside the ground gets longer, the perception
range gets longer too.
Ü Do
not knock the coil to hard objects.
Ü Do
not disassembly the device by yourself or has it disassembled anyone else expect
the authorized services.

There would be an
increase at these values if the duration of being underground increases.
Battery
Life and Charging
Don't worry about
changing the batteries at this device. You can use your device by charging it as
long as you want with the long life capacity charging system.
When the battery
of your device is low, Cursor indicator will be place minus mark. After this led
signal you can make maximum 10 minutes searching and you should charge it.

If you don't use
your device for a long time, check the batteries at certain periods of time (for
instance one times a half month) and don not let it be emptied completely. There
can be a decrease at the performance of a completely emptied battery.
Before charging shut down your device
Avoid of using different charging devices. Charging devices that charge
quickly may shorten your battery's life.
10 hours of average charging duration
12 hours of usage to empty the battery.
Searching
Tips
While
you make the search confirming the rules at the figure left,if you meet with any
metals, device will give a reaction both with sound and led.
After the ground
balancing if there no sound coming from device you can begin searching.
Hold the coil at
10 centimeter-height and go forward while moving it left and right harmoniously
like a brushing process. There should not be any place on the ground that the
coil doesn't pass over.
