Thank you for purchasing Atlantis Imperator II. Atlantis Imperator II has a relatively practical usage. The perception range is sufficient to meet your criteria. Make exercises with your detector as much as possible. Try to understand completely how to make ground balancing.

Preparation of the Device

Having coil rods composed of 3 pieces, you will receive the detector device folded rod in disassembled form.

Connect the rod having the device on and other rods from the points shown by arrows on the Figure beside.

Wrap the cable on the coil around the rod spirally. Increase or decrease the thickness of wrapping so that the cable does not turn out to be short or long.

Connect the plug at the end of the cable to backside of the device and screw it.

After these operations, the device is ready for use.

Switching on the Detector

Device is off while SENSITIVITY button is at the left far end position.

After the opening melody, two times "BEEP" tone when you hear you can start the search process.

SENSITIVITY button sets the ground sensitivity of the device. The sensitivity is minimum at 1 position, and 10 is the most sensitive position of the device.

While sensitivity decreases (…3, 2, 1 etc) the sensitivity to the minerals and metals decreases, ground balance becomes faster but it is not able to detect small metals. If the sensitivity increases the sensitivity to the minerals and metals increases.

It is recommended to adjust level 7 for the beginners

Ground Balance

In order to remove the mineral effect of the ground, GROUND BALANCE is adjusted as described below. Prefer places clean and with no metal in order to adjust ground balance.

As described above, switched the device on, take the SENSITIVITY button to level 7 and start ground balancing.

1.    Take the GND BALANCE button  to position no 1.

2.    Press PINPOINT button, HOLD IT DOWN and lower the coil while there is 5-10 centimeter-high from the ground.

There will be a sound if the ground balancing doesn't  eventuate.

If the device gives a sound.

3.    Take the coil up and bend the GND BALANCE button to the 2nd position slightly.

4.    Press PINPOINT button, HOLD IT DOWN and lower  the coil while there is 5-10 centimeter-high from the ground.

There will be a sound if the ground balancing doesn't eventuate. If the device gives a sound repeat the steps above until  the sound stops. When you lower down and raise up the coil without any sound the ground balance is completed.

·       If there is no sound when the Coil is down, however  it sounds when it is up, twist the GND BALANCE button slightly  to the right.

Auto Ground Balance

Your device contains an automatic Ground Balance System.

Auto Ground Balance is an option that has to be applied when ground balancing can not be adjusted and there is a doubt of too dense mineral at the ground as mentioned at the Ground Balance section.

It recommended to the professionals to prefer the manual Ground Balancing option rather then the automatic one. Manual balancing would always be more sensitive.

Every user that can not adjust the Ground Balancing at the ground that has too dense minerals should try this technique.

Searching

While you make the search confirming the rules at the figure left, if you meet with any metals, device will give a reaction both with  sound and led.

After the ground balancing if there no sound coming from device you can begin searching.

Hold the coil at 10 centimeter-height and go forward while moving it left and right harmoniously like a brushing process. There should not be any place on the ground that the coil doesn't pass over.

While the DISCRIMINATE button is between the range 1 - 5 the device gives those reactions;

At valuable metals            LED --- SOUND

At worthless metals          ------ --- SOUND

At half-valuable metals     LED --- SOUND

While the DISCRIMINATE button is between the range 5 -10 the device gives those reactions;

At valuable metals              LED --- SOUND

At worthless metals            ------ --- ------ (no reaction)

At half-valuable metals       LED --- SOUND (intermittently)

If you don't want to detect iron and iron content metals, Take the  DISCRIMINATE button to the 5 position. At the positions bigger than 5 your device will give sound and light signal at only valuable metals.

If the signal is intermittent while searching after position 5, metal is a half-valuable material like horseshoe or tinplateIf you don't want to detect a material contains aluminium foil  (for instance cigarette gelatin) take the DISCRIMINATE button to the position 10. When you come across with any metals, in order to make it definite hold down the PIN POINT button and pass the detector over the same place. If it repeats the signal, this place contains metal.

Steel, tin and horse-shoe, such as semi-precious object to be, so that  the signal will be intermittent.

Battery Life and Charging

Don't worry about changing the batteries at this device. You can use your device by charging it as long as you want with the long life capacity charging system.

When the battery of your device is low, LOW BATTERY led will be highlighted. After this led signal you can make maximum  10 minutes searching and you should charge it.

If you don't use your device for a long time, check the batteries  at certain periods of time (for instance one times a half month) and don not let it be emptied completely. There can be a decrease at the performance of a completely emptied battery.

Before charging shut down your device by taking the  SENSITIVITY button in OFF position.

Avoid of using different charging devices.

Charging devices that charge quickly may shorten your battery's life.

                    10 hours of average charging duration  

                    12 hours of usage to empty the battery.

·       Your device has a 3 meter-perception range. But if the duration of metal being inside the ground gets longer,  the perception range gets longer too.

·       Do not knock the coil to hard objects.

·       Do not disassembly the device by yourself or has it disassembled anyone else expect the authorized services.
